Meet Our Pastor…
On Sunday, February 28, 2021 pastor jason johnson was installed as the active pastor of doris johnson ministries banner of truth, inc.
as a young man, he was called to preach the gospel but he ran from the call of god and into a jonah experience. At the age of 18 he was incarcerated and looking at a 165 sentence. “i cried by reason of mine affliction unto the lord, and he heard me; out the belly of hell cried i, and thou heardest my voice.” jonah 2:2.
There in charleston county jail with his life hanging in the balances, he submitted to the authority of god. he began to preach “repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand” to everyone who would listen.
he encourages all to accept jesus as their lord and savior and that you can’t out run god! he became a licensed minister in 2009 and an ordained pastor in 2015 under the leadership of apostle doris johnson.
he is the son of elder blanton and ambassador doris johnson. he has one sister and two brothers: mico (jerome), the late blanton jr., and trevor. he is the husband of one wife (dedra) and they have one daughter (zion) and one son (jason Jr).
He is forever indebted to the lord crying, “woe is me if i don’t preach the gospel.”
